A World Undone
I’m feeling called today to share one of my poems that came through way back in November of 2000 that is feeling appropriate for our tumultuous times.
A World Undone
Kissed by the ravenous
Tongue of uncertainty
We wander from our
Cozy cocoons onto a
Blighted landscape
Sensing somehow that our
Fate depends on
Embracing what is,
On the surface,
Undesired.
As we roam the savage fields,
Our ordered ways scatter
Like leaves on gusting winds.
Our throat parches,
Our mind contorts,
Our hearts tremble.
Soon, though, our yearnings
For the satiny folds
Of yesterday soften.
The scorched earth
Begins to shimmer
The sky melt,
And the air taste
Of Nectar.
As the scene dissolves
Under the cackling
Laugh of Lady Maya,
Droplets of gold
Trickle down
The cascaded layers
Of a world undone
It is all revealed as a feast
Fit for majesty
Far more sensuous, luxurious
And savory than we in our
Cramped cocoons
Had dared imagine.

What a beautiful sentiment and reminder of the wonders of the Universe to ground me in this day. Thank you, I am always heartened when you post because I feel connected to the common threads of strength that cross boundaries and restore my heart and soul.
Perfect! A beautiful way of expressing the infinite possibilities unfolding... Thanks for sharing.
